Miller became the first-ever three-time Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Student-Athlete of the Year in league history, earning the honor for the third consecutive year as he led the Gaels to their 27th straight MAAC cross country championship, finishing fourth overall individually. He also starred for the second place team in the NCAA Division I Cross Country Championship.

Although he failed to take home the gold, Miller placed seventh in the 5K to qualify for the NCAA Championships and earned an all-America honorable mention with his 21st place finish in Eugene, Oregon. Miller also placed second in the 1,500-meter and 5,000-meter races at the 2018 MAAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships. He qualified for the NCAA East Preliminaries with a 13:54.50 winning time in the 5,000-meter race at the Raleigh Relays.

Miller also made headlines during the indoor track and field season, when he completed a sub-four-minute mile at the Boston University Last Chance Qualifier.

In his career, Miller won five MAAC track and field titles and raced in four NCAA Cross Country Championships with a top individual finish of 43rd place in 2015. Iona earned three second place and two third-place finishes at the NCAA regional meets when Miller competed.

"The accomplishments of Chartt Miller throughout his entire Iona career are breathtaking. On behalf of the Iona community, we all congratulate him on his unprecedented third-straight MAAC Student-Athlete of the Year award," Director of Athletics Matthew Glovaski said. "He has cemented himself as a remarkable student-athlete and we look forward to seeing his continued success down the road."
